Starfish consulting will endeavour not only to deal with the problem at hand but the underlying causes and the effects to everyone involved.

The company will deal with issues of a personal nature, from depression to stress management both in the private, business and schooling structures that exist. This will allow the company to reach as many as possible and be proactive in dealing with these issues before they become problems that lead to tragedy.

Mission Statement
Starfish Projects mission is built on a story. The story goes,” A man and his son were walking along a beach. The tide was coming in and with the tide where many small starfish that were being washed up onto the shore. The little boy was picking up the starfish and throwing them back. His Dad told him that his efforts were in vain as there were just too many. The little boy replied, as he picked up his next starfish and threw it back, “it made a difference to that one”.”

My mission is to save the world. One life at a time!

What makes me unique?
The Proactive attitude is what makes me unique. I anticipate issues based on past circumstances in certain groups and actively try to address these before they become issues.
About Me
I am a 30-year-old woman, mother of two, wife and career woman. I would like to introduce myself to you as a part of this Site so that you have a clear indication of who I am and why I am doing what I do.

I started my career in a bank with nothing behind my name but a Matric. During this time I got married and had my First Daughter “Nastasha”. I had looked so forward to having her, after losing a baby before that but I got more than what I bargained for. I went through severe postnatal depression. It was the worst time of my life, at that stage. I finally recovered and went back to work. After several years in the banking field I found myself in a position where I felt as though this was all there was ever going to be for me unless “I” did something to change. What I didn’t do was examine whom I was changing for.

I began to study “Training and personnel management” and proceeded to become an IT trainer. Sometime after I joined a cosmetic house to train their field ladies. This was a very glamorous position and I got to travel all over the country. There were special events and seminars; it was most people’s dream. Then I fell pregnant with my second daughter.

Once I was at the stage where I had to go back to work, I went through a serious spell of depression. I was put on drugs and put into therapy, the whole nine yards, only to discover that the underlying reason for everything that I went through was that I was constantly living to make everyone around me proud of me. I perceived that my husband would be proud of me if I got something behind my name (diploma) so I did it. Yes it gave me self-confidence and a sense of pride in myself as well but initially it wasn’t for me. Then I changed jobs and got a better paying job with glitz and glamour behind it because it made everyone around me say Wow and I thought they would respect me more for who I was. The job meant travelling and putting on constant personas of being happy and motivational all the time, no matter what was happening in my head. In spite of the fact that I had just had a baby everyone expected me to go back to work and fall straight back into my star studded role and that was when the wheels came off.
The question I asked myself at this stage was “WHY ME?” Why had the wonderful person that I knew I was, have to go through, being molested as a child, sexual harassment in the work place, postnatal depression with my first baby and finally a breakdown after my second. You know that old cliché “Everything happens for a reason”, well now I know why. To help others to heal the way I did.

Now I live for me not everyone else. I have started my own business. I studied at the best school in the world, the school of life, the HARD way.

Notifying Visitors of Site Enhancements
Another idea for my home page’s text is notifying visitors about the enhancements I put on my site. For example, I want visitors to sign my guestbook or fill out my survey Form E-mailer to answer questions about my site, my business, or my site’s topic.

Getting Rich Quick—From My Site!
I might not want a large amount of text on my home page if I want to guide visitors toward my other pages. Instead of text, I can add others’ buttons to this first page, and I’ll be rewarded for people who click on the buttons. For example, if a visitor signs up for a Visa using the NextCard button on my site, I earn at least !
